I am working for Siemens, and this would be an exceptional vision I have never noticed here before. We have the usual situation, tekkie all Linuxphil, management pro M$. I do not think, Siemens + M$ would be able to create a Linux distro. Siemens would buy SuSE before they are going public. I think, some people used the chance to show their frustration and to express what they really think.
