| Well, that should be interesting, if Microsoft have anything to do with any Linux distribution then that is of course admitting defeat. That a free product developed by bedroom hackers is better than their market share product. All they'd have to do to produce a M$ version of Linux would be to insert a few hundred thousand random lines of code into the kernel, unpatch it back to Linux 0.9 and then add a dancing paperclip. I seriously doubt anyone would buy M$ linux as everyone knows that M$ has been anti-linux and linux has been anti-M$ The other distributions are well established and have support and development cycles in place. There is room for more distributions, but these would have to do the same thing better. Somehow I doubt that M$ could achieve this. |
